    Description

    Hi there,
    You are bidding on
    U.S. Philippines Coin -
    1938 Ten Centavos
    .
This specimen is the second date of the type struck for the new commonwealth of the Philippines. Large size ten centavos were struck in 1903-06 and reduced size ten centavos were struck in 1907-35. With the inauguration of the commonwealth in 1936, the reverse was redesigned and the new type was issued in 1937-41 and in 1944-45. The Manila mint was responsible for production during 1920-41.
Many of the dates are rare, especially in nice condition, but the 1903 is the most common. All were demonetized by the Philippine government in the late 1960's when the currency was reformed.
Item is in brilliant uncirculated condition. Let me know if you require more photos. Cheers.
