Up for sale is a 1950's/1960's Magnatone Melodier M.O.P. Keyless Lap Steel Slide Guitar
Pearloid!
I am having trouble finding the exact year and model but it is an earlier piece from what I've been able to find online.
FULLY FUNCTIONAL!
Has a really cool sound and both knobs function as they should
Comes with original case, 2 period slides and an older Smith brand 1/4" cable which also functions.
There is wear to the case covering and rust on the hardware, but case still opens and latches as it should. No structural issues.
The serial badge is loose but is included/pictured.
Serial Number 46356
The bridge is marked "PAT. PEND."
The allens in the bridge have some rust and wear but look as though they would still grip a hex key fine.
Input jack and chrome pick cover are in nice shape.
Could use some new strings, I have left the guitar in the condition I acquired it.
The fret board is a golden sticker.
There are fret numbers 1 through 15 written on the edge of each fret by a combo ballpoint pen/marker. It is faded but has left a small indentation of a few of the numbers into the sticker.
The board on the bottom and the pearloid are in fantastic condition
Transformer/Fuse? is marked 05-200
Both pots are marked "D220076G35 500K 036"
There are no other markings internally
