Asian Sterling Silver and Diamond-Studded Butterfly Necklace w/ Black Enamel
Presented is a beautiful vintage sterling silver and diamond necklace in the form of a butterfly, most likely made in India.
The chain clasp is stamped "925" sterling silver. It also bears the marks "KA" and "1772".
The back of the butterfly lavalier pendant is marked "925", as well, and also contains the maker's mark.
This piece is fairly modern.
The necklace consists of a beautiful diamond-studded butterfly pendant and a silver box-style chain.
There is black enamel behind the decorative swirls on the butterfly's wings.  It is difficult to see in the first photo, but the background on the wings is enamel.
The diamonds are very clear and have great sparkle to them.  There are almost 200 in total!  At around 1/3 of a point in size apiece, they equal about 2/3 of a carat!  They look great set against the dark reflective background.
There are no problems with this piece.  The clasp is working well.
