Antique Brass Spanish Stirrup
“Barnes & Co London”
Stirrup is in good used shape for its age.
Has tarnish and a small crack at the right heel (see pics).
From quick internet research, I guess this is one from a pair of antique Spanish style stirrups made in London.
On the internet they have the name “F. Barnes”, but all I see is “Barnes”, but there is a mark above Barnes and below the hallmark that I can’t make out.
These could have been made before the “F” was added to the logo.
Here’s one, perhaps you can find another.
Still cool just for the one, especially for the guy or gal who’s collecting antique riding gear.
I thought this was a wall mounted flower holder . . .
(could be, then let folks guess what it really is.)
I have more old tack for sale (not nearly as old as this).
